NERLab Founder & Director
Carmine Perrotti, Ph.D
Dr. Carmine Perrotti (he/him) is Assistant Professor of Public and Community Service Studies, Director of the Feinstein Institute for Public Service, and Director of the Neighborly Engagement Research Lab (NERLab) at Providence College, his undergraduate alma mater. His teaching and research focus on the philosophy, pedagogy, and practice of service learning and community engagement in U.S. higher education. Committed to collaborative scholarship, Carmine partners with students and community members to explore how colleges and universities can cultivate more equitable community-campus relationships.​

Undergraduate Research Assistant
Zekar-Yah (Zak) Henry
Zak (he/him) is an undergraduate student of the Class of 2026 at Providence College, double-majoring in Economics and Public and Community Service Studies, with a minor in Sociology.
Originally from Brockton, Massachusetts, Zak shares a passion for bridging the gap between the Smith Hill and Elmhurst communities and the Providence College student body by aiming to help create opportunities for more student involvement beyond the campus borders. On campus, Zak serves as the President of the Board of Multicultural Student Affairs, a club with a mission to support cultural diversity on campus. He is also a Head Resident Assistant and a member of the Board of Programmers.

Undergraduate Research Assistant
Katherine (Kat) LaDuke
Kat (she/her) is an undergraduate student of the Class of 2027 at Providence College, majoring in Public and Community Service Studies, with a minor in Communications.
Originally from Millis, Massachusetts, Kat is passionate about cultivating community through authentic conversations and relationship-building. She is passionate about pursuing a career in the philanthropic and nonprofit sector. On campus, Kat is a tour guide and a member of the Friars Club, serving as an ambassador for Providence College to prospective students and their families, and also works as a Group Fitness Instructor, bringing students together through health and wellness.

Undergraduate Research Assistant
Riley Londraville
Riley (she/her) is an undergraduate student of the Class of 2027 at Providence College, double majoring in Creative Writing and Public and Community Service Studies, with a minor in Political Science.
Originally from Ludlow, Massachusetts, Riley is passionate about storytelling, and specifically how it can be used as a tool for social change. On campus, Riley is a Resident Assistant (RA), vice president of the Portuguese Alliance of Lusophone Students, and a member of the Beyond committee of the Board of Programmers. Along with Harvard freshman Jack Favata, Riley co-founded Totes Promotes in 2023, a social impact small business that donates proceeds to charitable organizations through custom-designed tote bags.

Undergraduate Research Assistant
Miranda Macaluso
Miranda (she/her) is an undergraduate student of the class of 2026 at Providence College, majoring in Biology, with a minor in Public and Community Service Studies: Community Health. She is also on the pre-Physician Assistant (PA) track.

Originally from Wakefield, Massachusetts, Miranda is passionate about building community-reflective programs that strengthen communication skills in order to face public inequities. Miranda currently serves as the Secretary for the Pre-Health Volunteer Club, works as a voluntary CPR instructor, and serves as the Blood Drive Coordinator for the AED Pre-Health Honors Society on campus at PC.

Jack Pawlowski
Jack (he/him) is an undergraduate student of the Class of 2027 at Providence College, double-majoring in Public and Community Service Studies and Finance.
Originally from Taunton, Massachusetts, Jack is committed to community engagement and is passionate about working toward solutions to help unhoused folks. He wants to pursue work in the nonprofit sector and give back to his community through his career. On campus, Jack is a Head Resident Assistant and plays the trombone in the Pep Band for the Basketball and Hockey teams.

Undergraduate Research Assistant
Chase Quigley
Chase (he/him) is an undergraduate student of the Class of 2026 at Providence College, double majoring in Political Science and Public and Community Service Studies.
Originally from Topsfield, Massachusetts, Chase is passionate about finding ways to strengthen the connections between higher education institutions and the communities in which they are situated, specifically through community-based research, relationship building, and community organizing. On campus, Chase serves as the Newman Civic Fellow through Campus Compact, as well as the President of the Board of Programmers, a student-run organization that plans a wide variety of events for the student body. Chase is also a member of PC’s co-ed a cappella group, Strictly Speaking.

Undergraduate Research Assistant
Daleth Rodríguez
Daleth (she/her) is an undergraduate student of the Class of 2027 at Providence College, double majoring in Public and Community Service Studies and Political Science, with minors in Sociology and Latin American Studies.
Originally from Springfield, Massachusetts, her work focuses on immigration justice and community-engaged research. Daleth is the President of the Providence Immigrant Rights Coalition (PIRC), a student organization she helped re-establish on campus to support immigrant students and build deeper ties with local immigrant communities. She is also involved in the Dance Club, PC Firsts, an organization for first-generation students, and is passionate about creating inclusive, justice-driven spaces both on and off campus.
